The Questions Are Coming...  Here's One:  Who's in the ARK?

For the past 12+ years the cry to help people before crisis has been given.  We are here in Dumas/Desha in Arkansas.  Three mayors and councilmembers have sat and are presently sitting at the meetings, they look at strong proposals that address vision for the future including plans for disaster recovery with apathy and move on to the next item. The county leaders some, will listen but the majority... passive.  It’s sad. But maybe this Noah-type Moment is a ‘wakeup call’.

So, who's in the ARK?  The ark of safety as in hearing the warning and adhering to the warning. Could it be that God is allowing the spotlight for Dumas to be seen and the works begin to take place?

We have asked for resources, and they say they don’t have them.  We’ve proposed and implemented programs that they see are valuable and still say… ‘we can’t give you any money’. Do we stop our work?  Do we hold back on our efforts to advance the city/county/state?  NO! We are here!

So how is it that when an ‘act of God’, a crisis and/or a pandemic occurs people find money to do things? My question is “Why wait for crisis to build out and do the good that’s needed all the time?”

This post is short.  Leaders, please look at the resources and the pro-active cries for help advancing the city/county.  We have an institutional campus underway, we are currently providing food, mentoring and other measures of grant writing and community outreach to bring relief to the Dumas/Desha and statewide efforts.

Let’s end the years of supremacy, plantation mentality, envy, divisiveness and all ‘isms that keep us separated until crisis moments like a Noah-type flood that comes to wake us up to the truth that when we are forced to do something, to find money… somehow it comes forth.

We can no longer wait!   God is talking.  Let’s all move up.  Let's learn the lessons from Noah's teachings and 'build the ark' for the ARK.
